Zipline Sicilia in the Madonie park
If you are always looking for sensational adventures and are not afraid of dizzying heights, then the Zipline Sicilia is just right for you!
It is located within the municipality of San Mauro Castelverde, a stone’s throw from the wonderful Cefalù, in the heart of the Madonie Park. It is the only zipline in the Madonie area, its start is at 925 metres above sea level and it branches off for over 1600 metres until it reaches an altitude of 260 metres above sea level, but mind you: the flight can reach a speed of 130 km/h, ideal only for the most courageous!
However, the San Mauro Castelverde Zipline is not just about this, it is a real jewel in unspoilt nature: the Zipiline is surrounded by the natural blue of the sea, so much so that from its summit you can admire the Aeolian Islands and Ustica in the distance, and then dive into the luxuriant and wild Madonie nature.
This is why the flight is not only a daring and adrenalin-pumping experience, but also a breathtaking journey through the wild woods and the highest peaks of the Sicilian panorama, from the Madonie to the Nebrodi.
There are two possible launching modes:
- The classic angel flight, both single and double;
- The seated single flight.
The zipline is accessible to everyone, as long as they weigh between 40 kg and 120 kg for the angel flight and between 60 kg and 120 kg for the seated flight. In addition, mobility-impaired people can also take the flight, sitting in a seat. Minors may only launch themselves if authorised by a parent.
You do not have to worry about anything, as the price of the launch includes the technical equipment, insurance, and the shuttle that will take you back to your starting point after the flight. For a surcharge of 15 euro you can rent a GoPro to film the launch and you will get an SD card with the video of your flight on it as a gift.
